Check that the grid lines match your board cards
A murder has been committed. The Detective has evidence pointing to a falsely accused Suspect. A key Witness holds the truth, but can only speak in cryptic clues. The race is on to uncover the evidence first.
The board contains 30 word cards by default (6×5 grid), but this can be changed in setup. Each card is secretly one of four types:
Only the Witness can see all colors. Teams only see cards that have been revealed during play.
The Witness plays alongside the Suspect, partners trying to clear their name. But the Witness is bound by oath to answer truthfully when questioned. They cannot perjure themselves.
Use this to describe how strongly your clue relates to the words on the board.
A member of the Suspect's team who saw what really happened. They know the Suspect is innocent.
Wrongly accused and fighting to prove their innocence. The Witness is on their side.
Convinced they have the right person. They ask leading questions to build their case.
Tip: If you're unsure about a card, end your turn early. A wrong guess can give the other team momentum, and hitting the Killer ends everything.

A murder has shaken the city. The killer vanished into the shadows, but not before leaving an innocent person to take the fall.
Now two people race to uncover the truth.
The Detective has already made up their mind. They're convinced they have the right person and are asking leading questions to build their case. They won't rest until they have enough evidence to put the Suspect away.
The Suspect is wrongly accused and running out of time. They must piece together proof of their innocence before the Detective closes the case.
Both are searching for the same thing: the evidence that will crack the case. But the leads are tangled, the trail is dangerous, and the killer is still out there. One wrong move and you'll become their next victim.
There is only one person who knows what really happened.
The Witness saw it all. They know the Suspect is innocent. But when questioned by the Detective, they must answer truthfully. Their only hope is to guide the Suspect through careful clues, one word at a time.
Clear your name. Expose the truth.
